On the following pages, the Section of Urban Climatology from within the Office for Environmental Protection of the City of Stuttgart provides information on climate, air and noise - and this not only for Stuttgart.

August

August

August is the last summer month. There are early autumn storms around the North Sea region almost every year.
The average temperature in August is about 0.7 °C lower than that of July. Absolute maximum temperatures of up to 35.9 °C show that August is still a very hot month. The number of the summer days is high: an average of 10 days in the inner city and about 8 days in the higher district of the Fildern.

Similar to July, exept ozone the ambient air concentrations reach a relative low level in August thanks to the mixing of the air in the ground layer.
