|
August is the last summer month. There are early autumn storms around the North Sea region almost every year. The average temperature in August is about 0.7 °C lower than that of July. Absolute maximum temperatures of up to 35.9 °C show that August is still a very hot month. The number of the summer days is high: an average of 10 days in the inner city and about 8 days in the higher district of the Fildern. Similar to July, exept ozone the ambient air concentrations reach a relative low level in August thanks to the mixing of the air in the ground layer.
